After a one-year lapse, I am going to be back to JavaOne this year, on the first week of October. This will be my 14th JavaOne, and my two sessions will be the 16th and 17th I give there. I used to say that I mus have been one of the most prolific JavaOne speakers that has never worked for Sun. This is not really true anymore, as I am now an employee of the organizing company, but it is good to already feel that I belong to this conference.
My first talk will be at the main JavaOne event, together with my colleague Brian Kowal. As there are no big news about Java Card this year, we will do a basic session about use cases, and recalling things to know about Java Card development.
My second talk will be at an associated conference, JavaEmbedded @ Javaone, which is more targeting executives and decision makers in the embedded market. In that case, I will be speaking about how Java (Card) can be used to provide end-to-end security to connected systems, with of course a focus on edge/client devices.
I will try to live blog a bit from the conference, but I may be much busier than I was as a Java supporter. If you happen to atend OpenWorld or JavaOne, let me know, an we can have a chat there.
