The art of Java Card programming

The title may be a bit pompous, but this is one of the sessions that will be offered during the Smart University event, from September 17 to September 20 in Sophia Antipolis (France).

The program of this session is very nice, prepared by Pierre Paradinas, and clearly focused on real application development. The first day is devoted to developments, with specialists of GlobalPlatform, SIM Toolkit, and servlets. The second day is more about tuning, with two presentations on testing (representing two different approaches), and one presentation about performance testing and tuning. I am doing the performance tuning part, and all the other presenters are undeniably experts in their respective fields. Most of them are colleagues, ex-colleagues, or regular JCF participants, and these two days should be quite interesting for learning a thing or two.

The other sessions don’t look bad either, but you will have to choose. For instance, in the session about security, Jean-Jacques Quisquater is likely to mention some findings about Belgian passports. I’ll talk more about this very soon.

Finally, the event is colocated with e-Smart, and the program is not bad either.
