Smart cards follow the trends

An article from the Smart Insights blog tells us that the smart card industry uses 16,000 tons of plastic every year, which ends up in the trash most of the time. It continues with interesting considerations about recycling.

In another article from Card Technology, we learn that the US Registered Traveler smart card program, supposed to help travelers go through airport checks faster will soon get a big boost, because it will allow travelers to keep their shoes on.

From these news, we can see that smart cards follow the great trends, in particular regarding ecology, and that they are in the heart of our planet’s security, all of which is nice.

Few posts these days, because life in a security service company can be hectic in December. I hope to have more news after Christmas.
